Hey Allan, Ben, Jeff, N Cowman, Hugh, Rusty,Red, and everyone else, we need your prayers for my son Tracy Bidwell as he is leaving from Fort Bliss, Tx. tomorrow for the big ashtray. He is the third generation to answer the call and he told me "Dad, I promise you I'll stay longer than three months." Well what can a proud but worried father say. Anyway, I know what my Lord Jesus can do, so please all of you help out if you can, thanks, Harley

Harley,

My family says a prayer everyday for our men and women fighting for our freedom. I will be thinking of you and your son... You are right to be proud of him, it takes a special person to lay their life on the line for people they don't know (and some who oppose what they are doing!!).
Keep praying for him and put it in God's hands and everything will turn out ok. May God bless you and your family. Send your son lots of care packages and pictures to remind him what he is fighting for. And have something special set aside for you and him to share when he comes back. That will give him something to lean on when times are rough.

Harley, I forgot to mention that your son should have Email access while over there. I know many that correspond if not every day, at least very, very often.

USE YOUR EMAIL TO REACH OUT AND KEEP IN CLOSE TOUCH WITH YOUR SON HARLEY, DO IT DAILY, AND EVEN WITH SOME OF HIS FELLOW SOLDIERS, THEY'LL APRECIATE IT MUCH, AND SO WILL YOU AND YOURS.

He's got my prayers too. I spent time over there during the Gulf War, and I know that everyones prayers and support and letters from home were the things that were most cherished by all of us.

You got it...son's fiance left Friday for pre-deployment training (Army Reserve)...not sure where she's going, but choices are apparently Iraq, Afghanistan, or Kuwait...so we know something of how you feel. May God bless 'em all, and watch over and protect them.

It is the lord's day today and I have asked our father to watch over your son as he embarks on a mission of hope and bravery! Harley, you have got prayers from here. My sisters only child was in the Marines when 9 / 11 went down, as a hyd tech on choppers he did not leave the ship. he also went back to Irac and still did not leave the ship. Just rermember its hard to get a Ozarker down.

ahh, Fort Bliss. no one ever could figure out how they came up with that name. i remember when i was there for basic training and one week we were sweating our butts off, and the next there was 6" of snow on the ground.

We're up here at the home of the Tenth Mountain Division. Ours prayers are with all our brave sons and daughters who have distinguished themselves by stepping forward to defend the cause of freedom.

My best wishes and prayers for your son and all of the boys over there. I have a about 6 friends with sons and spouses who are over there, we pray for them and send them goody boxes and do whatever else we can for them, and help out the wives who are left over here with no husband to do things for them. One boy got to come home on leave for a bit and he told us the little things mean a lot to them. I may speak out against our leaders, but not against the service people, they have my respect and active support.

We are with you and all the rest of the parents who have sons and daughters answering the call. I spent 20 yrs on active duty and when my son-in-law got the call, it wasn't easy. God bless and we keep you in our prayers.

Harley, from my heart I know what you are feeling. My son has been over there in Iraq since February 04. My son is with the 1st ID(The Big Red One) stationed at FOB Remagen up near Tikrit. He took part in the action In Baqubau and then in Samarra a few months ago,sadly, they lost 5 soldiers that day in Samarra. With this big push into Samarra just this last few days I'm sure he is there again. This time they thankfully they took the leash off and let the soldiers do what they are trained for, and yes, they kicked some bigtime. It was payback I'm sure in a lot of minds. So again, you are not alone, Gods speed to your sons return. God Bless all our Troops, every last one of them.

We just got my daughter's fiance back from Afghanistan, and my nephew is still in Iraq with the 1st Marine Div. My prayers are that God's WILL ... be done! And I pray that his WILL is the safe return of our loved ones, and the fast conclusion of conflict.
And I'll vote on it too!
