Thanks for all your help over the years. I am going to try to give back a little here...

For my birthday, my militant Green neighbor gave me the John Deere Trivia Master Game. Now I am colorblind, but I've got to say there are some really good questions in there.

I will post them whenever I have time. Here is the first (an easy one)-

Who was the third man to join John Deere and Robert Tate in the Moline plow business?
1 James Chapman
2 John Gould
3 Edward Atkinson
4 George Mixter

Actually, the third man was N. Ralph Muntz who had recently come west from Baltimore, one step in front of the law. Muntz, ever the promoter had been selling non-existing parcels of land in Albania.

"Militant" green! I LOVE it! I've got my collection of John Deere history books right here in front of me. I have the answer, but I'll leave it for someone not so MILITANT green as I am. John

We had a young deer catch it"s rear leg in the top two strands of a fence as it tried to jump it. He remained there overnight before we noticed. I rushed him to keep him from further damaging himself, and lifted him free of the fence. Carried him to the front yard and fed/watered him for a few days until he could recover. He actually became pretty calm. What did the kids name him? John Deer.
