First off, I'll guess 1928. And thanks Fargo for taking the time to post th trivia for our entertainment.

Next I'd like to tell the legal eagles to pull their heads outa their butts! As long as Fargo doesn't excede 10% of the entire book he is within the copyright law.

Also, who the heck is gunna bust him? Then again, you guys are up tight enough to worry about it so there is probaly some uptigh enforcement guy who might nail him.

GOD I LOVE TODAYS SOCIETY!!!!!

Maple:

No need to be so rude, RAB and I were just sharing a thought, and we were not rude about it at all. Sounds to me like you are the "uptight"one.

The General Purpose model was introduced in 1928 and was supplemented first by the GP tricycle prototypes and then the Wide-Tread version more suitable to row crop applications. The Wide Tread models continued in production through 1933 and the GP Orchard models remained in the product line up into 1935. The GP's were two plow rated and the early models used Deere's 5.75 x 6.00 in engine.

Why not... in reply to Fargo, 10-05-2004 07:37:19
Why not make up your (our) own questions? Not company specific, and original questions also. Try to keep them practical. I really don't care what the factory stamp code difference between a 3 speed and a 5 speed Oliver 70 is (but I'd just have to check my cousin's barn to find out as he has both.)

Person who gets the first correct answer gets to ask the next question. The asking party is responsible for acknowledging the correctness, but he will be checked by a panel of experts (the forum). You don't need to research it out and have a thesis to back you knowledge, just be pretty sure of yourself before you ask your question. And start a new thread at the top each question so it doesn't fall to the second page.

This could spur on some good On Topic traffic on the site.

Just remember to keep it friendly and fun!

Any one in favor?

Chuck

I do like your idea Chuck.

You should repost it as a separate thread and maybe even lead it off.

These are the things I like about this place.

I hope John Deere are not collecting your posts. Could be a bit embarrassing, them having all the proof they need to sue you for copyright infringement!!! Could double their profits for the.....

I guess I am a dummy, but how could it be a copyright infringment if the question he is asking is general knowledge questions.
