If you'll recall I was tired of the drought in N. Tx. and I thought I was real smart by cutting my hay and doing a Cherokee rain dance. Well for the last 10 days it's been raining off and on. This weekend, it drizzled all weekend.

Hay's still out there and gotta prep the field B4 winter. Would have been nice to have the ground all softened up so it could suck up all this goodie. Hopefully there is time left before the winter wets set in.

Oh well. Guess that's what I get for being impatient and bringing out the A team.

Mark

The next time you do the rain dance, move 150 miles south so I can get some rain. It's been raining around us but not on us.

Hear you. We missed those Florida activities this year. Usually get you (and sometimes me) at least a little moisture, right; course don't want the damage to go with a full up direct hit.

Best,

Mark

Terrible thing. Had no excuse to farm, so had to clean house, dishes, kitty litter boxes and even went outside and cleaned up the shop including the work benches. Yuk! Must have eaten something rotten to make me that sick.....fish? LOL.

Was a long time since I cleaned up the shop, but I did a small chunk of it a few weeks ago and discovered something I had not seen for quite a while. Had to search the archives to get an idea of what it was. Turned out to be 'bench' and 'floor' space. Sure glad that some people know how to post pix! Looking for the grease pit now.

Cute remarks. LOL I had the same awakening as I don't remember the last time I cleaned it.

Good mornin Mark. Coming from Indiana, we get snow and rain. It used to be the first snow fall in Texas that always made the news back home, here. I'd always say you Texas folks just can't drive watchin all the wrecks in the first snow. Then I got staioned at Hood. First rain, off the road for me, doin a hundred and seventy I'll bet. Not much rain to rinse the oil off them roads down there, and when it rains, ice. How was I supposed to know? First snow in Texas for me? Over the guard rail of a clover leaf at one intersection for me, doin a hundred and seventy I'll bet. My family told me that when showed the non-drivers in Texas on that first snow fall, was an Indiana plate on the back of that car that looked mighty familiar. LOL.

Ground does get a might bit hard down there, don't it?

Mark - IN.

Well, us locals have those problems too. The first light rain after a dry spell, and the first ice are deadly. Ice, you know, that white stuff that is only about 1/32" thick, blankets everything, and brings the state to it's knees. Nothing like watching people with highly sloped driveways, try to get to the street. Not funny.

Best,

Mark

yeah, yeah, yeah. Problem here is, it never knows when to quit. If it rains, it rains for a month, if it's dry, it's dry for a month.
