I'm looking at a used 1 ton dually with a Triple-C round bale handling bed. I never had any experience using a "bale bed"; can anybody discuss the pros and cons of these units?
Any comments would be welcomed. I would hate to invest in something else that I don't use.
Thanks fellas...

Ditto. 1 Ton dually with spear. Have room for bag feed, plus heated cab for winter. Works good for long distances but only handle one bale at a time. Don't have to slop in mud (grass pasture) so tractor lugs not necessary.

Love it.

Rauville,I have had 3/4 ton 4wd for 5 yrs with a flat bed/bale spear and I like it better than a tractor for feeding cattle. One can carry hay and feed on same trip.I have fed 100's of bales with it.One of my better buys.Tx Jim

Only if you have to move them a long distance, other wise a tractor would work better and cost less and those trucks can't wade mud like a tractor.
