Hi Bob, While like the other boys have said, it is true that a lot of things can be causing your difficulty and while I'm not there and I cannot 'feel' what your truck is doing, I've just gotta tell ya though, that a clogged fuel filter is the biggest headache an electric transmission has. In order to obtain (and maintain) any given speed, the operator must hold the accelerator pedal further down than he normally would otherwise have to. This action, of course, will cause the ECM to see that ‘odd’ signal from the TPS and interprets it as though the operator wants 'more acceleration'. Since the signal coming from the speed sensor is indicating a slower speed than what normally corresponds to the ECM’s preset parameters for that particular gear, that particular TPS signal and at that particular speed, the ECM will then drop the transmission down a gear trying to “comply” to this falsely interpreted demand. So I guess what I am trying to say, is that the very first place one would look for electronic transmission trouble, other than a “no move” symptom, is that darned fuel filter. This is especially true for transmission shift & drivability concerns. I’m just tryin’ to help, :>) Allan
