Maybe some of you would like to tell others what type of email/internet service you have, how you like it, and how much you pay monthly. If it's part of another package (eg. satellite or cable etc) then maybe it'll be hard to compare but for straight computer service, what do you have? As for myself, I pay $9.95/month (Canadian) for 25 hours of use anytime. Over the 25 hours I get billed an additional $1 per hour. I seldom go over my alloted time during any month. Mine is a regular phone-line hookup (ties up my phone) and is of a reasonable speed although my computer is old and slow. Sort of like some of my tractors.

Roadrunner Cable connection is $34.95 per month for me. It is crazy fast, always on and does not tie up the phone line. Beats the heck out of paying $19 per month for dialup, in my opinion.

Using ISP.COM generally connect at 54K. Speeds a function of phone service quality anyway. Cost is $8.95 mo plus I pay extra $4.00 for accelerator. Jury still out on that part. No problems with busy, 800 number and E-mail customer service with supported web space.

Plain ol' AOL @ $23.90/ mo. Almost always connects @ 48 or 46.6, so it is fairly fast. I guess I could save some money getting another ISP, but I like the features on AOL. really it is a bargain... I spend lots of time online, so it costs only pennies per hour....

Hey Redmund, did you get my response earlier? The post was deleted (it was good it was). Anyway congrats on having a wife that'll go with you. Mine still hits me in the arm every time we hit bumpy air. She has never ridden the cub but did put up with the 140A. I posted my web site too.

Wow, guys! For about a year now I have been using ( can we mention ISP names?) Peoplepc.com and they have been great..I'm also on a phone line, and yes, it does tie up the phone, but the service has been very good for $10.95 per month, unlimited use...I had AOL before, and it is undoubtedly the "Cadillac" of ISPs, but so is the price ! Wish you all good luck on your service. Jim
