How much ended up falling, They promised us snow but when the temps are over 60 hard to snow.

We had t-shirt weather today in eastern Kansas, but turning cold tomorrow.

Looks like that pretty red tractor is grinnin' and ready for whatever mother nature can throw at her.

Let me know how those chains work for you. I'm thinkin' hard on getting a set.

Lowest temperature yet here in College Station has been 40 degrees one night about two weeks ago. Todays high was 80 degrees with a slight breeze and clear skies. Good luck with the snow removal. Regards, Caleb in TX

Nice rig, that should handle the snow just fine. We have already had 6 inches in Plattsburgh (NY) the other day. Winter has set in already here. Gloal warming !! Pah!!

That Nebraska snow looks pretty wet, especially in that second photo. We've had two dumps here, one in September (melted) and another one about 3 weeks ago (almost gone). With a nice tractor like that, I couldn't wait till I got to put that red tractor to work to earn its keep.

No snowmen here yet- in fact, we haven't had a killing frost yet! Temps in the 50's (into the 40's at night- Brrr!). Only snow equipment standing by here is my trusty snow shovel, which gets use about one year out of three.

John, what is that triplex wire attached to? I'm assuming it's attached to a building not quite visible in this picture. It sure has quite a "belly" in it. Can't be too much clearance.
(Sorry, I work for an electric co-op and I notice things like that!)

Boy you got a eye on you. Can not get any thing past you.

Yes that is the feed wire for my house.
There is another pole about 40 feet directly in front of that pickup. It is one of those 3/4 poles and is not as tall as the regular elec. poles.
The wire then makes a turn to come to my meter pan which is on the back side of the house.
Since the pole you can not see is in the center of the drive way the lowest spots are only over yard.
The wire is about 10 to 12 feet off the grond at its lowest spot.
Also that tree you can see next to the pickup is growing through the wire. It has a branch that the wire has gotten under and it now holds the wire down a little. Has not been a problem in the summer as the wire is naturally streched but I should get something done before winter.
The tree cutting crew is on the next road and will be over here in a week or so. The plan is to have them cut the limb off so the wire can swing free while they are in the area and trimming the trees that grow under the street wires.

Nice view Allen.We just about forgot what snow was here in west Tennessee.30 plus years ago we used to have some significant snowfall but now we hardly see snow anymore.I would like to get out the ole Warrior and tear up some snow,maybe do a little cross country riding.
