I was just wanting to take a survey of when you think the best time to end a auction (on that famous not to metioned here site )would be. Weekdays ? Weekends ? Daytime or evening ? Doesn't matter ? Thanks in advance for any input.

I seem to get a lot of bids daytimes duing the first part of the workweek and have begun listing more on mondays and tuesdays. I seldom list on sundays.

I agree with 10 PM EST, that gives everyone in the country a chance to bid. As mentioned, Church time is the worst. One Easter Sunday, I bought quite a few old Watch Fobs for almost nothing, because they ended at such a busy time. In fact, I felt bad getting them so cheap, so I added some to what I sent the seller.

Ditto with the prevailing logic. I try to end either at 5-530 pm Sunday or 10 pm. Eastern time. I love to shop the going going gones between 9 and 11 am on Sundays.

Mike:

I'd say between 6pm and 11pm-- usually just after supper time has worked well for me.
Good luck!

Jeff

Between 6 and 10 in the evening on week ends tring to figure that time for both the west and east coast. That is on big ticket items gives them time to finish dinner and go to church ect sit down and bid away. Mark H.

Like everybody else said, on Sunday evening, after a week on the board, and it seems on larger items, between the last of January and the first of November. Folks get to thinking about taxes, Christmas, and the first of the year, and three years in a row now, after the first of Novermber, tractor sales just plain die. Later, Harley
