Willy-N,
A while back you posted some pictures of your 3 point hitch you constructed for your tractor. In one of your pictures you showed a picture of your tactor lifting your trailer. Could you show some pictures of the goodies you have on the front of your trailer.. Was that a hydraulic winch? Do you have a hyd. unit that runs the hoist? Would appreciate see some pictures of that neat trailer..
Thanks,
Dick

This is a side view of the Winch. I mounted the Fairlead into the front frame to keep the cable pulling right. I had to raise the winch up with the mount to put it in line with the bed. Works great and can pull 10,000 lbs with a double pull but the winch has not had any problems loading even a 6,000 lb truck with flat tires going up the ramps. I just charge the battry once or twice a year to keep it good or if I use it a lot. Mark H.

The winch is a 12 volt 5,000 lb Ramsey single line pull. I made a mount for it so I could put it on the trailer to load stuff with. I also put a removable Hand Hydraulic Boom to lift stuff up on the front like engines and such. It can lift from 500-1000 lbs and swings. I put a swing up trailer jack right under it to keep the trailer from flexing when lifting. I can take a picture of it for you. Here is the winch set up. I put the battry on the trailer so my tractor could also work it. Mark H.

Hey, Thanks alot for the quick response. I really appreciate it..
I was wanting to mount a winch on a 5th wheel trailer but I'm planning on using a hyd. winch and after seeing your pictures I thought I could also mount a hoist on the front of the trailer to lift things. I was planning on powering the hyd. pump with a Honda engine, which would power the rollback bed, winch, and hoist.. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Dick

You could put a Electric Winch and a 12 volt Hydraulic Pump for the bed and make it easy to set up cheap. Northern Tool sells 12 VDC Hydraulic Pump units and the Battry could opperate both. I like the 15 ft remote control on the winch for loading things away from the cable and watching the load go on. With hydraulics you would have to stand in one spot or have expencive electric control valves for the remote to opperate. Mark H.

You could allways mount the pump under the winch mount to take up less room and a small tank under the bed for the hydraulic fluid. Mark H.

Found a picture of the hydraulic Boom. The swing up Trailer Jack was added to the side of the frame right under the boom to stop flexing of the frame when lifting. The Boom slips right out of the mount when not needed and so does the jack. Mark H.
