I'm going to pick up a tractor but want to know what the weight of an 8N so I rent the appropriate trailer. This tractor also has wheel weights (inside wheel weights).

I haul our 601 workmaster around with a 7,000GVW trailer, which is practically the same tractor, but alittle more updated (has factory power steering and mine also has the optional heavy duty front end). I believe if I remember right it weighs somewhere around 3,900lbs with loaded rear tires, so your 8N would weigh less than that, if that helps you any.

The 8N manual I just looked in said the shipping weight was 2410 lbs. Add the weight of the wheel weights to that. Also, if the tires are liquid filled you could be looking at an additional 1000 lbs. Any implements that you are hauling would have to be added to that figure also. If it has a front loader on it add another 1000 lbs.

A car hauling trailor will work well for that as long as it/your tow truck has brakes det up on it. I'm not sure of the weight of an 8N but I have hauled one on that type of trailor and my 8N has a loader on it which would weigh more the the weights on your tractor.
