Forson Major ???

I bought a Forson Major with a Sherman backhoe mounted on it. I got it cheap enough probably because the engine (diesel) is in a bucket, literally. Where do I start looking to find out what model it is? I got a manual with it but I can't find anything indicating what model it is. I need to know to start ordering parts. The book just says 52-60 after most of the part numbers. I think I need more than this.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Find your local New Holland dealer and hope that they have an awesome parts department. Get the serial number and casting numbers off the tractor. The SN should be on the bell housing I think and the casting numbers on the block. They should be able to talk to their tech people in PA and figure out what you have. If not, they can run the part number on the engine in the cross reference on PAL and figure out what you have. Like I said first, hope you find an awesome parts department.

If the the throttle linkage is on the right side below the fuel tank then it is pre 1958. After that the throttle was moved above the tank just off the steering column.
