OK, the way I justify posting this here is that my girlfriend's name is Virginia, and keeping her happy may lead to my being able to purchase more "stuff" (I know, that's a long shot).

Anyway, I heard a song on classic country radio the other day. The lyrics (chorus) were something like "I can't wait to be with Virginia again", or something to that extent. I looked all over the internet, and can't find who sings that song or what it is called. Since the OT posts have been such a great topic on here lately, I thought I'd tap into some of you guys knowledge. Anybody familiar with this song?

Is that a good enough reason for posting this on a tractor board? Thanks.

There is a modern song With a lyric like that "I can't wait to meet Virginia" I think it is called just "Meet Virginia" By the group Train. Could that be what you are looking for?

The Statler Brothers had a great song about Virginia, their home state.

The only one that comes to mind is the old Hank Snow tune, "Yes Virgina there is another lover" But I don"t suppose that is what you were thinking?

Best guess would be"To See My Angel In Virginia Again" done by many bluegrass bands.

Sorry I can't help, but you might try posting this on the Country Life forum. There is a member there, Lenore, she used to be a DJ and would probably know the song.

Believe it was a feller by the name of Stan Jones; Vaughn (sp) Monroe had a hit in the '40s (??); since recorded by many other artists; last semi-hit by Johnny Cash.....to my recollection.

Well,

Actually, she is the one keeping me happy.

I haven't got sense enough to pour it out of a boot, so she does the thinking for both of us. :>)

Me too buddy. We're way too smart to think huh. Through life's many trials and tribulations I have come up with life's sure fire way we all ought to act. Women's job is to have the last word and have an attitude. Men's job is to be stupid and be good at it. Now if we would all just stick to those guidelines we would have it made. But then every once in awhile one of us have to go over the line and then we all get into trouble. Oh well, I guess that's why they say "Life is what happens while you're making other plans". And it should work out like this too. Ifn she makes the decissions and things go haywire, shouldn't we get to blame it on her? Oh see there I go again, thinking. Later, Harley
