oil bath air breather

can the filter come out of the breather , and if it can how does it come out thanks Chris

Are you talking about the wire screen in the top of the air cleaner?I just took the wire screen out of one by cutting the spot welds holding the bottom on.Found a lot of debris that could not be seen before I took it apart.Its a bear to get the screen rolled up and put back in.I am having a friend turn a loading tool out of hardwood to reinstall the wire with. The screen wire looks to be 2 pieces of ordinany window screen wire that were rolled through a chevron roller.

yes they can. just try to get your finger between the side and filter. and work it down. sometimes there is 2 or more halves of the filter in there. HTH
