Installed a Delco-Remy 12v. alt. It has a Batt. hook up, a field and a resistor hook up. I got the BAT. wired to Pos. cable. Field wired to BAT. My question is where do I wire the "R" to? I still have 6v. solenold. I have a resistor in front of coil. Need help help before I fry it all. Send a diagram if possible. Thanks a million.

on your 10 si delco alternator if you will use 1770 se regulator inside the alternator you will only need to use a battery wire it is a self exciting regulator i build them all the time for tractors alot of your parts stores have what they call a one wire alternator good luck

First off are you using a Delco 10SI alternator??
It will look like this from the back.

third party image

If so read on..... ..... ..... ..... ..

Read This first as it should answer any questions you have. It was written for the hundred series but will work on you NAA.
The differances will be you only have a 3 wire starter relay so it does not have the wire from the terminal block to the relay.
You do not have the dash light so you will need to use a one way diode.

Some have mentioned the wiring diagram is to small to read so Here
is a larger copy.

If you have any questions ask away.

The field wire goes to the switch on the cold side I.E. hot when switch is on. ON a lot of the the other wire doesn't have to be hooked up or you can hook it to a lite to show you its working
