The old Howard Question stumping you guys?

I allways seem to have problems on these Howards getting information. Seems like I have given out way more information on them then I have asked since I have delt with 3 of them so far. Now I am tring to figure out if a Ferguson TO 30 Tractors Howard is the same as a 8N, 2N Tractors since they seem to have a lot of parts that look the same behind the trans housing. I know the rear differntial is the same, hydraulic pumps will fit along with the Top Plates. It seems that during those few years they kept some of the parts the same on the Ferguson System between the 2 tractors. Even the PTO Shafts are the same spline along with the coupler shaft. Now I wonder if the bearing plate on the back is the same where the Howard bolts over? This is a picture of a 8N Howard I had once a long time ago and it sure looks like it could fit the Ferguson?? Any thoughts? Mark H.
