I have a farmall 706 and it has very low pressure to lift an implement to the aux. valves. 3 point seems to work ok. Is there a pressure control that may not be working correctly or need adjusted?
Any help would be appreciated

I removed the plug under the seat on top the aux valves. It had a hole with threads and looked like a slot in one side. Is that the relive valve? there was no spring or valve in it. It had hydraulic oil in it.
Thanks

First thing to consider is the hydraulic filter & by-pass screen.

Valve under the seat. I can't remember which one.
Costs about $75.00. But man, BIG differance when replaced. That's all our 706 needed to make the aux valves work real good again.

Well firt you must find out just how much it is putting out , stock is 1750 if the pump is good and the releif valve is working . I t would be better if you had a dealer do a flow rate on system then you would know for sure and it does not take long to do this . But you can check pressure with a good liquid filled gauge and a couple fitting and pioneer coupler . You will need a gauge that will take up to 3000lbs. If you need more pressure then you can replace the relief valcve with two differant ones up to about 2350 lbs. that is IF your pump is good.

Hey Doc,

Why not just hook something heavy to that 3-point? You'll know real fast how good that pump is.
