On the farm that i work at we have a few David Brown Tractors. The 1200 that we have we had just started it for the first time this year. My uncle started it and it was low on water so he added some, then he added some oil for the steering and it started to slightly bog down. My uncle went away, and came back to find the tractor turned off. He went to start it and now the engine is locked up and wont turn for nothing. Whether its pulling it with another tractor, or trying the starter, it dont move.

I need help

PLZ help me we need this tractor back in action

Mark,

You might try pulling the spark plugs (if it's a gas engine) and then try turning it over. If you have a cracked head, the water from the cooling system might have filled a cylinder while it was sitting, and now the engine is trying to compress it (which, of course, it can't).

Just an idea

im taking a guess that the oil pump had lost prime over the period of not running, and is now seized. there is probably a couple of ways to unlock it but there is only one right way to fix it and that is to completely rebuild it. i have never even seen a david brown tractor so this is only a guess. HTH
