I get an email regularly on this subject but here is the reason I have a problem with it. usually the writer states that the imported oil is the reason fuel prices are so high and we need to quit buying from them and start buying from those who don't import oil. Logical thinking until you look at it this way. If imported oil is the cause of hig prices then how come the companies who don't import it charge us the same price??? Wouldn't it stand to reason that their fuel should be cheaper since it is not imported?

Just my thoughts on it.

I don't like the price of fuel anymore than you but it's still a bargain. Bottled water often costs more. Yuppies are still buying gas guzzling hummers. Local boys still leave the empty one ton dually diesel purring when they go in the convienience store for a chew and a six pack.

Eventually GWBs Iraq business should help.

I wish people would get as excited about the cost of a trip to the drug store.

Rehashed, but something to talk about. Wife just told me the local Walmart with their card was $1.92. I think it's the present administrations ploy to scare the public to get drilling in Alaska passed.
I don't think something like that will work but if everybody picked one brand and boycotted it exclusively, that might work.

I dislike the high fuel prices as much as anybody, however, my truck gets 16 mpg at 55-60 mph. I"m not gonna walk for over 3 hours...16 miles, for $2.25. Mike

Lets use imported oil. When they run out we will still have some.
