I have a Cub blade that I want to strip and paint. The lye seems like the best go for me, I am only concerned about the dammage lye and old paint may do to my ground and lake. Any help, one the posts did say it is biodegradeable. What do you all think?

I don't know about the paint but don't worry about the lye. Norwegians still soak their fish in lye. It's called lutefisk. I've known Norwegian women to reach the age of 110 eating lutefisk, lefsa and strong black coffee.

Oly was a goin up to Sven's house when he saw Sven's dog lickin' his butt with wild abandon. Oly knocked on Sven's door & when Sven answered, Oly said... Hey Sven, I hate to tell ya, but I tink there's somethin bad wrong with yer dog. Naaa, Sven says, Olga yust gave 'em a bit of lutefisk & he's yust tryin to get the taste outta his mouth!

Great! Believe it or not, the Lutheran Church in Scandinavia, Wis, still serves up lutefisk and lefsa suppers. They get a good turnout too.

I have some friends who tell me it's great! I just haven't had the opportunity (or the nerve) to try it!
Regards, DL
