Mornin' Guys,

Gonna go strap on my old "El Cheapo" baler today. I guess I really ought to sell raffle tickets on how long it will take the old heifer to build the first bale.

This will be interesting. 'Spose I shoulda dug 'er home and hooked it up before cutting the hay? :>)

Hello Allen, I see it has the hyraulic tie. Make sure and remember which lever is which. It"s a bummer to hit the wrong one and have the endgate crack open and the bale stop turning. Done that a few times. If your lucky you can back into another bale and get it to start rolling again so you can twine it. They"re a great baler, and will take alot of hay. Just remember to weave back and forth so you don"t build lopsided bales. Have fun Brokenwrench

Allen

"drug her home and hooked her up before I cut the hay"? What fun would that be. Any good farmer knows if you try to fix it with the clock running will give you that wild adrenaline rush. Seriously, she should bale just fine.

John

Shot if that thing works as good as my old NH850 you will be covered in dust in no time and be spitting out bales left and right. Biggest thing on one of them if to make sure it has a lot of oil on the chains every day. Also make sure you don't open the back up when on a hill or you will have a real roller on your hands. Funny to see but not always funny to see what it might hit. Don't ask.

What hills? Allan didn't post any pictures of hills on his place. We need to keep an eye on him when he starts custom baling, someone around might have hills.

Oh, the baler will pull on the road much better than the Haybine.

I didn't think what I had was a hill either till the bale went for a roll. It might have had a foot drop in 100 feet but it was enough.

Allan;
Heck, if it doesn't roll anything, I'd bet that you could bring it back and trade it in on that lil' neverfail 272 Hayliner that's sitting in the row.

I read the title and my first thought was "how the heck does Allan have time to fool around with the lottery beins he has all this new farm to get whipped into shape".....then I opened it and shut my mouth LOL.

But didn't sound like a heifer in your description; more like an old cow. Grin

Thanks Allen....I needed that today. Have fun with the new toy.

I think Harley told me that 'ol Akmed might be dealing in hay balers now? I'm sure he would be glad to take it off your hands.
