$3500 is a good price here in Tx for a 2000 in good condition with good paint, rubber and all. Low end ($)has a 4 speed tranny and transmission PTO whereas your 3000 probably has an 8 speed and a live PTO. Not that bad a downgrade, but you have to get used to it. If it has the live PTO so much the better and even better yet with more gears, but gears aren't that important on that machine and the pto isn't necessary. Does very well on just 4 speeds. When you add tractors you don't necessarily have to have all the amenities as you do different things with them. For example my 2000 has a scoop on it right now and I just removed a box blade scraper to install the scoop. Other things I do with it is rake hay or move hay. All these things don't requre a pto at all so it doesn't matter whether it's live or not. They are handy, nimble, easily operated, and steered (manually) and get tremendous fuel economy. Very reliable. It won't tug as hard as your 3000 but it is still a tugger. Proud owner of a '64 2000 4 cyl, 2 ea 3000's, and a 4600 plus some other colors. Mark
