Thanks for the replies fella's. Going to have to pull the box around here with the rust, pulling the tank is a no-no. Thanks. Hound

I replaced one on my 90 Ranger. Remove the bed of the truck, only 6 bolts. Allot easier then dropping the tank.

If you are ever out in the boonies and the in tank fuel pump stops working, have someone spin the engine over while you slap the bottom center of the fuel tank with an open hand. And those two operations have to be performed at the same time. some of the small cars, it's hard to do because of tank location. In that case you need an arm extension, you can make do with a stick or what ever is handy. If you are in the boonies by yourself?????

Thats how I wash under my truck after playing in the mud. I lay the hose out stright with sprinkler attached, straddle the hose with my truck, turn water on full blast, and drag the hose about a foot every thirty minutes. This is an old Dog that do like learning new tricks, what's yours??

Hi Hound,

They are in the tank. Failing at above 95 degrees? Typical.

Don't put in an aftermarket, 'er I promise you'll be doing it again.

Re: 92 Ford Ranger inline pump alternative in reply to Allan in NE, 07-12-2005 06:45:28
There is a inline pump for fuel injection that can be mounted to the frame. I haven't done it yet but I got the pump for backup cause I aint pullin' the tank.

Still have to pull the tank to get the old one out. Thats the first filter/ pump the gas is going to hit.

Unless there is something pluged. the outboard pump will pull the fuel through the tank pump.
