Does anyone have any pros and cons on this Mfg. and Model of tractor along with any pricing information? I have been long removed form the farm and am thinking about buying some land and farm implements, but have limited funds.

Any thoughts?

I once had a subscription to a paper with classified ads for construction and industrial equipment. Logging, sawmilling, paving, and grading equipment for example. Frequently equipment makers will buy engines from other suppliers. Popular engines on such equipment are Perkins, Deutz, and Zetor.

I bought a larger model & would buy another in a heartbeat!! They are strong, simple & straightforward to work on.

If it has a Zetor loader even better made by Humpolec same mfgr as Fendt loaders, top quality. Look at a Deere ~ 4300 + loader loose & noisey bouncing around on its mounting - uses a claw on the front bumper to prevent the loader from it from falling off!

Past, Shortcomings in my limited experience with Zetors: Check the brakes carefully, If they are bad the wheel housing has to be removed to work on them(true of other tractors also, including some US ones) Check the transmission/hydraulic oil for moisture. The rubber gear lever covers were not too good on the old ones. If it is not on a dealers lot, check on location of dealer. Driving long distance to a dealer is to be avoided if possible. PTO lever is turned the wrong way for easy use, that is you have to twist your wrist. However, I found that You can take the cover off and use your forefinger to trip the catch with the wrist in a comfortable position. If you are looking at a new Zetor, most of these problems have been solved. Hope this helps.

I´m sure KEH wanted only your best...but take my advice...stay away from zetorworld, the webmaster is a colourblind Zetoroid...You never would get an advice, about the weak points of a Zetor.
Fact is: If I had a small amount of monbey, but would need tractor, ´Zetor and also Belarus would come into the game.

I have that particular model that I bought new in 1994. I only put about 20 hours a year on it in my 9 wooded acres, plowing snow and misc jobs. If it ever disappeared I would by a new one. Not many dealers in the midwest though. They are more popular on the East coast, from what I understand. About half price of a new JD and resale is not good. I did not buy it to resell, I bought it to have a reliable machine to use when I need one.

Pete,

Thanks for the reply. This tractor is a 1998 model with supposedly 346 hours on it. It has a front end loader, a small brush hog, grader, post hole digger, and forks to pick you items (bales of hay) for $8250 or best offer. It has weather wear on it, but before I test drive it, I wanted some comments on reliabilty, and pricing. How much was yours new?

Somewhere around 10,500 or 10,900 in 1994. Tractor only. No loader.
