I have a older Case 1845 Uni-Loader with a Case 159 4cyl gas engine. While running, the upper section of the carb and the lower area of the intake manifold actually get cold, even to the point that condinsation starts dripping. What causes this area to get so cold while the engine is running in such a hot enviroment???

Thats just normal cause by the gas going from liquid to a vapor.

I agree, and it seems to get worse during high humidity weather.

Hey Rusty did you know the indians used that same sort of thing to keep cool. they would soak a banket with water and the wind would blow on it and cause it to ice up.

That may be true. Guess that is what happens when you spent a lot of time out at sea with nothing to do other then read books and learn things that may never do more then fill ones head with info. LOL

Didn't know about the indians but I have done similar things just as an experiment and it does work.
