TO35 gas dies after reaching op. temp. restarts d

have a to35 gas, that dies after reaching operating temp. if i let it sit for 1 min it will restart and run for 5 min, let it rest for 1 min, runs for 5 min ect... i have replaced spark plugs, rebuilt the carb.,replaced the thermostat, the cap,rotor,points and wires look great, any ideas ???

Most likely culprits are ignition coil or condensor.

Either component can fail by becoming thermally-sensitive.

A fuel restriction is another possibility.

Next time it shuts down, quickly check for spark while it's in the "no start" mode, to narrow the problem down between fuel and spark.

If no spark, you could start by replacing the condensor, as they're cheap, and if that doen'y help, replace the coil as a last resort.
