No sooner arriving at the Clarksburg, Ohio tractor show saturday and run into old school mate, Farmall H enthusiast Johnny Bill Chain. After greeting each other he asked me if I"d seen that special "H" over there in the Farmall lineup yet? I said no but took off in that direction and sure enough there it was....it was pink as you know what! At first I thought...that"s the color of the "gay people".....I ain"t going over there! But, currosity got the best of me and I did...and the lady that owned it came up and started talking and friend Larry and I wound up spending at least ten or fifteen minutes talking to her. It was her first restoration and to be honest.....it looked pretty danged nice for a 1940 model. Just shows to go you.....never judge a tractor by it"s cover. Never caught her name but they say she has a horse farm just west of there on Ragged Ridge road...and she knows about this site. Maybe she"ll catch this post and put us a pic of it so all can enjoy. Fred OH

Old Farmalls often fade to a pinkish color.

Or, was this tractor Mary Kay pink?

FWIW: Last time I checked, gay people didn't own the color pink. Besides, even if that had been a gay-owned tractor, so what? Gays have as much right as anyone to appreciate old Farmalls.

My wife want me to but her a (bad word) John Deere and paint it pink, even though I'm not much for J.D. I still can't disrespect a tractor like that: I think. David

The lady said she got it painted on thursday, put together on friday and that was saturday. She said she needed some of those twist in bolts that holds the hood on (up front) but she couldn"t find them for less than $12 apiece...anybody help her? I would take the info to her. We know where she lives. Fred OH

I'm pretty sure that my tractors are all of the female persuasion, simply because I can usually sweet talk them into doing what I want them to do. Sometimes they will be a bit on the cranky side, but I only need to wait a few days and they will be cooperative again. (:

You know, come to think of it, whenever I had to coax one of my tractors...it was always..."come on "ol girl...you can make it".
Any of you know what I"m talkin about when I refer to those things that hang down underneath some of the hot rods and cool rides? I"d like to had some to mount on her tractor. smile... Fred OH

The wildest thing painted pink I ever saw at the Oshkosh EAA airshow. This woman owns and flys a P40 fighter and it is painted pink. Seems she was a ferry pilot during the war and later bought this old bird and painted it pink. One thing about it, there was no mistaking it for any other!
