I just recently acquired an Avery tractor with 1 wheel in the front. The stamp on the frame of the tractor says 5A-623, I'm assuming that's the model number or serial number. I can't seem to locate anyplace on the web I could use this number to get some info on the tractor...year etc. Can anybody help me?

Send me a U. S. mail address and I will send you a copy of the Tru-draft newsletter which is for the B. F. Avery Wards Twin row Cletrac Generals and the Moline BF & BG models as well as the other models Avery produced.

Yes I did, but my # doesn't match any thats there, i'm assuming it's an A model because of the A in the serial #. 5A-623

I would think the way the numbers are listed that you have a model A made in 1945.
