We have a $3600 order for Tuesday- for us, that's a big one. So, we will be busy picking and packing on Monday.

I've been sandblasting, priming and painting a diassembled front end loader here. I was International Red from head to toe by yesterday evening, It sure looks a lot better now than the "patina" left from 4 yrs sitting outside after a barn fire.

Cutting iron to finish a load (price is up). Hope to get shop cleaned enough to get my bigger truck in to fix a spring so I can honestly fill out the inspection cert. Beans and corn are turning fast here in NW IA.

Sat - cut hay... err spend 3 hours going to town to get a new tire(the old one fell apart after 1 lap)

Cutting tobacco all 3 days! Now that's laboring! Fortunately though the weather is great. Have cut on many LDW with it well in the 90's and humidity like fog. I can handle what were getting this weekend, mid 80's low humidity, wind out of the N.

Me! No one touched neighboring farm this year. Hope to mow it all Monday. Forecast says sunny thru Thur. Mow Mon, rake Tue, Bale Wed, Haul & stack Thur, go to pulling contest Fri.

Actually, I have my wife tied to a compound mitre saw, cutting vertical t&g sheeting for the dormers on the stone house we are restoring. I get to perch on the roof and nail the boards on with a pneumatic gun.

I'm not quite sure how she does it, but the angles (13 and 31.66 on opposite ends) are coming out exactly right. All I told her is that she needed to be able to read and tell which way is up.

Two dormers down and two to go, two days left in the weekend. I made another 160 sq. ft. of sheeting this morning on the shaper, so we should have enough to finish the job.

And she actually prefers this to lazing around on a boat.

Just got back from laboring, not near done yet because theres another 2 1/2 days left. Mowed the entire pecan orchard, commonly known as the woods, need to figure out why one tractor won't start. Picked pears from the 3 or 4 trees up there, and dropped off a couple things. Need to clean up a minifridge someone was throwing out that just happened to work, but thats about it.

Changing the heater core in a 98 GMC Jimmy, $800 at the dealer. Will see how much I can save. Remove the dash then the heater unit then the heater core then reverse. My head hurts already. OOW

That job by the book takes 10.5 HRS!They are a little ugly. Don't take the dash out all the way,instead swing the pass. side & lay it in pass.seat.I did one about a month ago.~brad

Thanks bradk. I got it out,the heatercore changed and now putting back in. I don't think it would take 10.5 hrs if I knew where all the screws were. Not near as bad as I thought it would be. I just don't understand why it had to be to extensive. If the heater core came out the bottom instead of the top it would cut the job in half. Guess the same old complaint. If the engineers had to fix it..... .

I bought a 15" camp trailer and am swamping it out and getting ready to upgrade the water and electrical system. Tearing out some stuff and cleaning up mostly for today. This ain"t no fancy RV just a plain little camper.

Will be heading for the city some three hours to meet up for a family barbecue. May take in the local parade if I get there soon enough. Almost thought about dragging an antique tractor for a nephew to drive in it but I didn't check on the insurance soon enough. I plan on laboring over at least one of two grills Mine will have Sunday picked sweet corn on it. Then we'll sit around and listen to the grass grow awhile. That will be Monday. Tuesday its back to work to get some rest. Have a great holiday!

Well folks, I am working 12hrs each day but Monday in the chem plant. Then pulling logs at home,finishing my brush hogging of trails through the woods for a get together we are having next Saturday. Then I will clean up the old fergie TO30 to pull hay wagon for party...wife is in N.Y. at her Mom's getting ready to move back here...Have a good Holiday

Removing amd disassembling the power steering pump from the Oliver 550- its the one that bolts to the back of the generator. Guess I'll see what is looks like inside, then try to find parts. Gonna change all the fluids and filters while its down. It's all just good, clean fun. . .
