Why do we have gooseneck AND 5th wheel? Why not use gooseneck on travel trailers or 5th wheel on horse trailers? It would be nice to be able to tow either trailer without having to change anything.

You can use gooseneck on both, they make an adapter for fifth wheel campers to make them gooseneck.I don"t like the fifth wheel,it takes up to much room.

Well with the 5th wheel type people can ride in the trailor but with the goose neck they could not and be legal. My self I wish there where only 5th wheel types, there safer and stronger. It doesn't make since to have the 2 types but I guess we have to live with it like it is.
