Hi. Ive got a 7acre parcel and am looking for a tractor to plow, dig post holes, maybe add a loader. I have a Allis B but I guess with the hard clay soil in N georgia I need more hp. Im looking some inexpensive tractors thet have live hydraulics, 3pt. and live pto with at least 30hp. If I get a deal on a 8n do you think I could make due? If someone local has something that fits the bill I would be happy to talk to you about it, But mostly im looking for suggestions.

Case, Farmall, and Allis Chambers all are good. If you really want a Ford get a 900 series but Fords are more expensive and really no better than the rest. Also John Deere is expensive and thats why I don't mess with them.

Dosn't sound like 8n would fit the bill, look for Case 4-5-600,triple range or Case-o-matic(make darn sure case-o-matic has clean fluid)triple range would give you 12 forward gears!! unless you could afford something GREEN!!!!
