Thanks,
Zafrus

For the tractor pulls that I am around for the antique class they have to be 1939 or older, Classic is 1940 to 1955 and we have no classes for anything 1956 or newer

If its older than my kids, its a collector tractor. If its older than me, its an antique. It must be, 'cause I know I sure am, especially if I'm around the younger generation very long. "What we have here, is a failure to c'mmunicate".

The club I used to belong to considered 1957 or older to be antique, I think...

To qualify for an "antique" in KS I believe it just takes 30 yrs old. The antique tag is only purchased once every 5 yrs and it doesnt matter what weight rating you have. Talk about a cheap way to tag an older farm grain truck. Instead of $60/yr for a 54K, it drops to something like $40 every 5 yrs.

The collector world in general identifies a true antique as being a minimum of 100 years old. Everything that is not yet 100 years old is considered a collectible. I don't really know how this applies to tractors, but as a rule, most of the tractors that are referred to as antique are not, and should be called "classics".

I believe pre 1940 or 39 and before are considered antiques. Least that is the way they usta classify them.
