Three point implements

Any suggestions for parking 3 point implements--blades, posthole augers, etc. so they aren't so blasted difficult to hook up when needed again? I'm always a few inches off one way or another with the tractor and have to herneate myself manhandling the implement into alignment with the lift arms. I sure didn't have this problem with my WD45 and its snap coupler implements. Those are a breeze--but just about impossible to find anymore, especially out here in the west.

I back up to the implement as straight as I can and line up one pin with it's lift arm. After that one is pinned I can either back up the tractor or pull forward to line up the remaining pin. It really helps to have a good park brake to keep the tractor from rolling that fraction of an inch to throw it out of alignment.

I use a big lever - a bar, fence post or even a 2x4 - to shift them around once you're close.

I found the center of gravity for all of mine and hang them about a foot off the ground. Easy to handle, clean, paint, inspect & repair, etc. and keeps them out of the moist dirt. HTH

Gotta back up carefully, for sure. The older I get the more time I spend getting the tractor situated just right.

Hardest to hook up was a fast hitch 4 bottom plow to my 706.Next was post hole digger. I made a bracket and mounted it in the machine shed. I hung the post hole digger on a chain and hung it to the bracket. I could then swing the post digger and hook it to the 3pth. Hooked top link first.
You do have to back carefully and sometimes wrestle with the implements.
