Got 4 old tractors all colors but we all know OLIVERS rule :)

Looking for old 5 window Chevy truck to haul them tractors with; also looking for banjo to go sit round with old timers for some pickin!

3 guitars (2 acoustic (Yamaha & ??) and 1 electric (BC Rich Rave) don't play worth a dang but just keep trying

Didn't I see that you were looking around for a place? Seems like it was in the PNW. You looking for Chev. pickup or ton and a half? I've got a 40's 1&1/2 that needs to go away. ????

Picker,

I don't collect 'em just like all my old tractors. But, fer some reason, over the years, they just end up livin' here. You'd think that after 55 years, a silly old man would quit tryin'. :>)

To hear the one on the right speak, click the link below the picture, but be forewarned, the mp3 file is 1.2 megabytes in size so will take awhile to download if you're on a dialup connection.

Ya'll have a good one,

Allan

Now that is a beautiful sound! That's some pretty wonderful playing there, Allan! My younger brother (14 years old) is learning to play on an old, cheap acoutstic guitar. I (16 years old) have been toying with the idea of learning bass or electric guitar. Don't know if my pockets are deep enough to afford one. :-( Those green machines are EXPENSIVE to work on! Oh well, someday maybe!

Talk to ya later, Allan!

Jay,

In all seriousness tho, all my life I've been completely "mesmorized" by the sound of a guitar and have spent most of my 62 years trying to learn how to play the silly thing.

Heck, I didn't even know until about 10 years ago, and was kinda shocked to learn, that the sound doesn't affect other people like it does me and other players. Most folks could just care less.

Also, I really wish someone would have told me that you can never master the darned instrument.....it just cannot be done in one lifetime. If I would have known that, I never would have started on the derned thing in the first place! :>(

You're a lucky man. It's something you will always have. Music is a wonderful thing.

I know what you mean by never being able to master it. I have a neighbor, well my only neighbor, and I promise you, he is the best guitarist you've ever heard in your life - recorded or not. He can play the rock, the country, etc. I've never seen anything like it. But it is never good enough for him. He always hears something wrong.

His dad (dead several years now) and I were good friends (although I'm much closer in age to the son). He was uncanny with instruments. I saw him repair a bassoon for a guy once - he had never touched one before (but was talented for repair as well) - he fumbled with it for an hour. After that you could have sworn that he had played it for years.

I have 6 old tractors, 2 old trucks, one old car, and 1 guitar. 3 of the tractors run, 1 of the trucks runs, the Camaro doesn't run, ( and most likely never will) and I don't know how to play the guitar.

Yea, but I have old cars cause they're paid for. I do have a Farmall F-20, Stage II Super H, a 400 and an I-Super A. Geetars, I have an old Gibson Melody Maker, a Fender Strat, and an Ovation. Sure would like to add a LesPaul in there one of these days.
