Any body have one? Opinions? Local dealer is closing and has a few of these on the yard. Says he'll make me a really good deal on one.

I have one. It's been a good tractor. No problems at all. Ford parts will fit them too. And Farmtrac has parts as well. If you need to rebuid a Ford engine they have the kits for them.

I'd buy another one in a heart beat. These are Ford tractors. They do have two models in the line up that are Longs with the new Farmtrac name on them. I have a good dealer in my area and he's sold hundreds of the Farmtrac brand. Mine has the Perkins engine and is 72 HP. I'm well pleased with it.

John, run. Run down and buy one. The Farmtrac brand was created by the Escort Group of India for their tractors. Prior to the use of the Farmtrac brand, Escorts built tractors for Ford. In 1998, Escorts purchased Long Agribusiness in the United States and used it to import the Farmtrac line.
The only difference in the current Farmtrac and the older Fords in small hp is some design improvements. These are good tractors and will deliver what should be expected of its design. It is a medium weight tractor and will deliver you more hp per gallon of fuel than most comparable models. Good luck with your new tractor!!!!

RUN the other way. The fact the dealer is closing should tell you something. In my opinion you will be much happier in the long run if you buy a used comparable sized John Deere, Ford-New Holland, IHC, Case, Oliver, Massey Ferguson or whatever you have a dealer for and can get repair parts for it.

Hes accually retiring. Sorry for not making that clear! The dealer has been selling these for quite some time and has been in business for over 40 years selling Oliver, Whites, New Hollands, and the Farmtracs. Unfortunatly, the Farmtracs are all he has in the lower HP ranges. Im not rich and wealthy like some on here and cant afford the name brand tractors.Nor do I have a real need for it, just thougt I might get a decent tractor for the money. Why should I RUN?

I agree, I'm not sure I would take one of those even if it was free.
