When the original parts were manufactured for these old Farmall tractors, quality was a given. The new replacement parts available today are no comparison as far as my luck goes. The original front oil seals, starters, guages, fuel strainers, carburetors, ect;, were not only good quality, they gave years of dependable service and the manuals was only written in english! My experiance in purchasing online used parts and salvage yards so far has been less than 50% sucessfull even though they are a bit pricey. Don"t take these comments the wrong way and tell me I am whinning, cause I ain"t a whinning, I just wonder if there is a place to find some good parts that I have"nt found.

Dixieland: I go to CaseIH for almost everything, pricey, but the quality is still there. The one exception is used parts, then I shop the scrap yards.

Case/Ih - quality is usually better than aftermarket, and usually just as cheap if not cheaper

Don't know, I get a lot of parts from value bilt and so far they all have been as good as new, but they are rebuilt old ones so I guess they have to be very close to what they where 50 years ago.

Yep, Mike at Steelwheelranch is the best. I called about a broken front spindle which was non-existant off a wide front end from a company which no longer exists. He had me go down to the shop and mike the parts, and in two days, even before I got the bill, the part was here, from Iowa. He is the best. Harley
