Kubota owns Kubota. They are good machine's. Maybe not as fancy as some, but sure are reliable. I have an M series a BX series and a ZD zero turn mower and love them all. The thing I like is that every piece on it is Kubota. With the others, they almost all use somebody else's engine, and other components and then asseble it all together. As somebody else once said, If I wanted a yanmar or a fiat, I'd buy a yanmar or a fiat.

I hate to disagree with these others, but I will. We had an M9000 here for a week while our TL-90 NH was in shop for computer replacement. We had four different drivers, and all agreed that the Kubota was nothing to write home about. Everything shakes and flops around(muffler, fenders, all handles...) I would think it will break itself to pieces. Fuel consumption was hard to gauge, as tank is small and had to be refilled after about 8 hours. Visibilty and comfort were not as good as the NH. We also had a 5525 DEERE in the yard at the same time, and the Kubota did not measure up to it ,either. We put 16 hrs on in 9 days, and were glad when it left.

Their kubota experience is extremely rare. All the kubotas I have driven have been rock solid and care free.. totally! Kubotas are excellent tractors with excellent reputations which are well deserved. they work the pants off other tractors in a long term dollar for work done ratio. You wont go wrong with em unless you get some rental units piece apparently.

They are a Japanese company and assembled in USA. I personally owned a L2900 GST 4x4, 32hp, pwr shift 8sp, shuttle forward and reverse. Only used the clutch when had too. Best tractor I ever owned or operated. VERY easy on diesel. Gutsy little thing. My dad is a die hard ford man, was bragging about his ford 600 plowing with 2-14's 7" deep, at about 4 mph. I hooked on that plow, got it adjusted and started plowing, 5.5 mph. So then I hooked on the 3-14's, locked up the rear diffy, locked in the 4x4, and started plowing-- now HE could keep up! with his 600 and 2-14 setup. We turned 7 acres that day, I used 1 gallon more of fuel than he did. He never laughed at my bota again. If I was in the market again, I wouldn't even consider anything else. Besides they all are made across the ocean-- including the green one!

I think it is a Japanese company, but they are assembled in the U.S.A. Might be difficult to find out who actually owns the company. In my opinion, for what it's worth, the Kubotas are very well engineered and built tractors.

Kubota is a Japanese company, they make all their tractors. The machines are assembled in the US, the loaders are built in the US (except in Canada, we get ALO/Quicke loaders painted orange)

Kent, the M9000 is a low cost utility tractor that is pretty dated compared to your TL90, it has been discontinued (this year) and replaced with a newer one with more attention to noise and vibration.

The open station M9000's still had a shifter between your legs! They are an inexpensive machine though.

The fancier Kubotas like the M95x etc have powershift and a lot more non basic features.

The M9000's are nice in that they have no computer and tend to be extremely reliable and start easily in the winter. My friend has a collection of NH's and all his newish powershift models are frequently having wiring issues and start poorly in the winter.

Luckily they have... well 6 NH's so they are getting to know the relays/computers etc that tend to go bad.
