I've lived here between Chicago and Milwaukee for 40+ years, on this place for 20+, this is the 1st winter I've had a heated shop, my winter projects are being held off by the g/daughter & horses, not the cold. Been real cold here, got a waste oil heater installed last year, got it going in Nov, really an improvement, any of you guys thinking of building a shop, go with the hot water heat in the floor, it's the best and most efficient. We're having a winter like I remember from SW Iowa in the 40s & 50s. lol, John

-12 below zero this AM. Downright balmy for up here in Northern Vermont. We've been spoiled rotten up here for 10 years or more. Where are the old fashioned winters. Bring it on.

Got down to 24 last night @ the house. Supposed to get that way again tonight.

High for the next couple of days is 54-56. These temps are cold for N FL/S GA.

Kills off the bugs tho & certainly gets your attn. when you bust your knuckles :-)

Below is a cool link that FL has for those interested and those checking the weather for the FL Flywheelers Show in Feb. 2006.

DID I MENTION FEATURING OLIVER TRACTORS? :-)

The high today in mid coast Maine was 17 deg. If we hit 40 this time of year we think its warm.

Bill R,

I think -20 would make me forget a lot of things.

Here in NE Arkansas we are at about 20-22 in the mornings and up to 35-40 during the day. coldest so far was 10.

Mid 40's overnight here in western Washington, supposed to hit 57 today, which will be at or near a record high (normal high is mid 40's this time of year). We're coming off a "cold snap" of nights in high teens, days in low 30's. Thats about as cold as it gets when its still and clear. Every few years, we get a cold front from the frozen north, and will hit zero or thereabouts with brisk north wind.

Winter projects on hold here in eastern Ontario also. Waiting for WARMER weather! Minus 25 C yesterday morning, warmer this morning, virtual heat wave, only minus 15C! But now that we have passed the 21st, the days are starting to get longer (but probably colder!)
