Hey guys, this may not be your typical prayer request for on here but we are in severve need of help. We are as you probably allready know in a severve drought, grass fires are running wild tonight, pastures are burnt up, hay is short, and no real sign of rain in sight. I would like to ask each of you if you would to remember us in your prayers for some much needed rain. I know myself I would appreciat it very much and I'm sure everyone else would as well. We live about 60 miles north of Dallas. Thanks to all in advance, yall are the greatest!

I'd like to send you some of ours, we have been getting one ice storm after another non-stop for the last two weeks. By the time you get it,tho, it should be no longer freezing, seriously, now, I feel for you and your area will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Gary may the lord send all the drought areas rain is my prayer, the Bible tells us to pray without ceasing and also we have not because we ask not,if the rain doesn't arrive in time just remember that Romans 8:28 says that all things work to the good and to trust God's word as he can turn things that we think are bad into good outcomes.

Amen to that Nor. And, Gary, hang in there cuz God don't ever leave us. He'll provide again in HIS time and you'll be the better for it! I'll add you & all of Tx to my prayer list. Wish it was easy to send some of our cheap hay from here in N Iowa your way. Sure is an abundance here and less cattle yards each year.

Gary, the prayer has been made. I'm heading your way (Dallas) this weekend and I'll bring the umbrella. I did not realize it was so dry out there. God Bless

Gary, I don't know about you or how your Faith is, but most people who believe in God, will put Him on a shelf, and when they need some thing, they reach for Him, and He's not there. (now where did I put Him?) is the question. We should have Him with us all the time, then when the storm comes, we are ready, some times He does things to wake us up, and some times to test our Faith, Is this your test ? I will pray that your Faith in Him will become strong in your time of need. Blessings, Joe

Gary, Mornin ol Pard, I will echo your prayer request. And add mine also. We are just like you here in So. Central Texas. 50 mi N. of Austin. Over half of our 259 countys are under a "Burn Ban" The rest are not far behind.
Hay that is for sale is almost non-existant. That does not include Feed Stores that sell sm sq bales in the oneze-twoze fashion. I am talk about large quanity Round bales. Guys needing 25 to 50 or more.
A local supplier I know is all but out. Another Hay Jockey I know up north of Ft.Worth, is down to two semis of 100lb,3wire sm bales / week. This supply is comming out of Arizona. This supply will run out in late Jan to mid Feb. Rain is no-where in sight in the near future.
This past weekend went to the top of the Texas Panhandle for Christmas. The roadside was littered with small burned patches. Thank The Good Lord above for all our Volenteer Fire Dpts that defend so much of out great State. Yes Rain is badly needed. Ya'lls prayers are gleaned even worse.
Later,
John A.

It's an honor to pray for a fellow man. May you have the rain you so desperately need. Last I heard, God still loves us and cares about our needs.

Absolutely - prayers have been for yall in our household for awhile. Have family living in that area and we have been praying for rain for them as well as for ourselves. We have sent all the extra hay to Paris and Denison area that we can spare, but will keep an eye out for any extra and will get word out if we come across any. CL

And you are not that far away. I had no idea you were that dry. Yeah, I'll say a prayer. It WILL rain again, it always has. Say, have you read Elmer Kelton's The Time it Never Rained?

You got it Gary, we are also very dry here in Southwest Mo, but are not having wild fires here. I heard the weather man on one of the chanels say we were over 9 inches short for the year. Then he said but we won't be because it starts over Jan 1, real smart guy.

Will be happy to Gary. There is absolutely nothing out of place with praying for rain...farmers have done it for centuries.....
Saw the storys on the new wires earlier, actually already have prayed, but will again, never can do to much....
