Hey guys, I got a problem.

I"ve got an old Tulsa winch (model 18) that the shift collar (the part that slides in to the drum and engages it to the main shaft) has broken in several places and my welder buddy tells me it"s beyond reliable repair. I can get the part new from Tulsa but its $300!!!!! I only paid $200 for the whole winch! Does anyone know where there might be some of these laying around for parts, or someplace else I could find one?

Thanks in advance for any help or leads,

Brian

Just saw a Tulsa Winch being cut up for scrap last week. If I get time I will go back and see if there is any part of it left. Are there any numbers on the part?

The number on the casting is 387. The ID is 2 1/4", with (2) 1/2" keyways 180 degrees apart. The diameter of the "ears" that engage the drum is 5 1/4". The diameter of the main casting is approx. 3 5/8". The width of the groove that the clutch fingers ride in is 5/8". The overall length of the part is 2 1/2". I don"t know whether this part is used on other winches or not. Thanks in advance for all the help -- Brian P.S. I tried AW Direct but they say they don"t have anything for Tulsa winches. I appreciate the lead, though.
