the guy I got the 1206 talked to me the other day and said how he missed his beloved 1206,we had agreed on the price and I thought all was OK, paid the man and off I went with the tractor. He told me that he forgot he spent 1100.00 bucks on it not to long ago,and thought I should give him more,I said no its too late, but then he was kinda ticked off so I said give me the money back I paid and take the tractor back,Its good I hadnt started working on it yet,,I havent heard from him for awhile so I guess Ill wait and see for a few more days,,billy

Me thinks he was just dropping a rock down the well to see what was there. That is do you have "backbone". Do you have a signed bill of sale? If so, too late.

If you know the guy real well give him a call and ask him when he's going to pick up the tractor, as in tomorrow (before year end taxes are locked). If he backs off and says he needs time, go ahead and start working on it, you've gone way beyond what is fair to accommodate seller's remorse (see if a dealership ever gives you an option like that).

If you don't know the guy all that well, run him off your place if he ever shows up.

I had some dealings with a guy like that once, thought he was a friend... Here is an idea... Nitpick & find every little thing you can wrong with the tractor, down to every last scratch.. Point them all out, & tell him he owes you a refund 8^) All kidding aside, Your offer to sell it back shows honesty... I wonder if the seller still has the money???

I bought two AC model M's. and a year or so later the guy I bought them from wanted one back. I already have several of these tractors, so to keep a friend I sold it back to him. I think you agreed on a price and paid for the tractor, it's yours. Stan

Some people can never be confident with what they do--worry that they paid too much or sold too cheap. You didn't have to do any thing. But offering to give his money back makes you a nice guy in my opinion. Sleep good to night

Allan's right. You paid the agreed asking price at the time that the deal was struck. His loss, your gain.

Hey Billy, ya old warhorse!

It's your tractor. I wouldn't have even offered to sell it back to him.

He just found out what it was really worth, is all. :>)

Anything but a 1206 and ya I might have considered it. A 1206? Not likely. I"d give my right nut to have one a them. Kinda like the little missus. Perty and works good too. What else is there, Harley
