I dunno, needed a single axle dump of sorts, grain trucks sure looked like what would work for what I needed, found one in Michigan, went on a 34 hour non stop tour to go get it and drive it home, nothing locally was worth it and everytime I found something decent, it was sold before I could even see it. Was on a low budget. So, I figured this old F-600 was worth the $1900, nice shape, a 1964, 82,000 miles, drives nice, motor runs great, sheet metal pretty good, will look nice restored. 1 day after I get it home, I see a 1966 on e-bay, in Ohio, little closer, has 48,000 original miles grain truck, has new tires and been inside it's entire life, green, ( love green and the old Fords 61-66, same era of Chevy's too ). Mine has a better dump body, but I was droolin over the green '66, it went for $1500.00 was in ohio and the buyer had no history, feedback etc., sorry I did not bid, but I'll need something a little faster on the highway, so I'll have fun doin a restore on this and upgrading to something more modern after this one earns it's keep. It happens all the time, always a better deal after you buy, not everytime, but enough.
