Allan,
Just wanted to say, I haven't seen many recent discussion postings from you the last couple of days. I guess I've kind of missed 'em, got used to seeing your daily sagas on some of your red projects. Just posted a question on the IH forum, and thought maybe you could help. I'm restoring a Farmall B, that's been in the family forever. I'd like to find a set of rear tires (9X24)with the old 1930-1940's vintage closed tread pattern design. I see Firestone has a reproduction but not in that size, you have any other ideas of where to look? Just completed the overhaul on the ole girl, and getting ready to do the paint/cosmetics this spring. I'll try and post some before and after shots.
Thanks
Dan

If you could find a old Massey Harris combine like 26,21a theirs other numbers can't remember them .I know their setting arond the country maybe with good tires yet. They had that size and tread you are looking for.We had a 21a with dual wheels don't know how good they are any more I saved them ,the rest of the machine went to the iron pile.

DJL,

Where are you located? I have spoke with a man about some JD parts in Nebraska that told me (also sent me an add clipped from the paper) about Nebraska Tire Company. There are Titan brand tires that are of numerous sizes that were priced a lot lower than any I've seen elsewhere. I also have a line on a Farmall B that if I am able to get will need both rear tires replaced due to the fact that they are old and dry rotted.

later days mate,
Jim

Yeah Dan,

Sadly, I don't know "sic 'em" 'bout tires other than they are black and round in appearance, and the little ones usually go on the front of the tractor. :>)

Have you checked with your local tire outlets? They usually know how to match up your needs to the proper tire.

Hope ya find 'em,

Allan
