Well I got a gasket that came from UPS with tire marks on the package, opened it up and it is bent & broke is a few places. I think this was a hard to find gasket for the clutch inspection plate for an H.

Can these be glued together with something?

Randy

File a claim with ups and always open package and inspect in front of driver ,one day the driver tried to leave a new radatior that had a visiable hole all the way thru box he was miffed bacause I rejected it . I know ship every thing DHL better rates and service than ups .

Where did you find one? That gasket is no longer available.

Well I ordered a complete gasket kit that covered all the gaskets except the engine listed in the H parts manual from my local dealer and they tracked one down for me. When I got the original packaging and could tell it had been around for awhile I went through the gaskets and found I was missing one, I think that final gasket came from NY.

I guess after looking the number up it is a Clutch Housing Hand Hole Cover Gasket and the one I got is not made out of felt.

I just finished reusing the old one on my Super A cleaned it good with gas let it dry, then glued
it with silicone to the cover. On the A, its only
gonna keep the dirt out, and will probrobly be
oil soaked before I take it off again.

The clutch inspection cover has a dust seal made of a felt type material. It really isn't what I would call a gasket.

I would first complain to UPS, then as the other post make a gasket. You can buy gasket material, or use some one ply cardboard. A frozen pizza box would work for that.

Can you file a complaint with UPS?

I got a head gasket by U.S. mail a couple years ago that had a 90 deg bend right in the middle of #3 cylinder. Put a kink in the metal ring that seals the top of the sleeve. The dealer sent me another one, but I don't think it was the dealers fault that it was bent. They said they would file a claim, but I never heard if it did any good or not.

I think I'd rather just make a new one from a sheet of gasket material and have it one piece so the seam doesn't leak.
