I was wondering if anyone had ever temporarily repaired an exahuast manifold, that had a crack in one of the exhaust ports, kind of right in the middle of the neck of it where it bolts up to the block, it's on a 292 Ford Y block. I've got this annoying exhaust tick that must be coming from this crack, the rest of the system is tight. I may have found a replacement exhaust manifold locally, not sure yet, see them on the e-bay, guy in texas seems to have singles and pairs, but if there was a way, ( JB Weld ? - never used it ) or similar to eliminate this noise for a few days until I'm done moving compost material at the farm, it would be great. I know I may be in for a project with the manifold bolts,I will be fixing this properly and don't want to risk having the truck down, just wondering if anyone knows of a method that might buiy some time, say V-ing out the crack, filling with a material as mentioned above etc. etc., like, bubble gum, tin can, lead pipe, shoe string, cookie dough, witchcraft, voo-doo, LOL !
