Has any body on this forum had the crew from RFDtv come out to a tractor show or pull you have put on?
If so how did you contact them or did they contact you?

Some of you good ol boys realy have away of expresing yourselves. (bless your little hearts) I like auctions to, but the guy crying at the cattle auctions must have had a stroke, or should spit the chew out, or use numbers instead of jiberish. My ex-wife says I was the South end of the North bound horse, but enough already. I'm droping RFD. I'm as disapointed in it as my wife was on our honeymoon. (bad mental picture) Somehow Judge Judy and the reality shows seem some what better. Dave NE IA

I suspect that the horsey people are the ones sending in the $$$$$$$$$$$. Horsey people pay more subscriptions to the magazine, they get more horsey shows. Guess there are more horse people than tractor/farm people. NAW!

A sizeable contribution to the operating budget will also grease the skids if you know what I mean.

I suggested a name change for the network to Gotish, a man with no sense of humor.

they should be... Horseturds & Polka

RFDTV doesn't have roving film crews. The stuff you see on TV was done by groups like Max Armstrong's High Yield Productions or Brian Baxter's group. You can contact Max at Hi Yield, not sure about Brian.

High Yield does our show in Penfield.

The local TV station has a production group that does that sort of thing also.

I am sure there are a lot of legal reasons for not airing an unsolicited video. They would have to get signed releases of all involved and permits for editing it to fit their schedule. A one hour video would be at least 1 1/2 hour program with commercials. They would have to do research to make sure there no rights violations of anyone or anything involved in the video. And much more. Plus they already have a defined program schedule. I would guess they get a lot of such material. If the video is of enough interest to their program director, I am sure they will pursue it.

It's like the government. If the representatives were true representatives of the people, we would all be lawyers, as they are. If the RFD shows were truely representative of what we do out there, every one of us would have a horsey. Now I'm not against horseys, as some of my bestest friends have them, I just can't see why there would be 5 hours a night on training your horsey. If it takes that long, I'm gonna get a goat or something a little smarter. Just my take, and don't even get me started on Big Joe. Ifn there was ever anybody who didn't need to wear see-through sleeves, it would have to be a 300 lb. old guy with a piano on his vest. Harley
