I just do not hardly ever see any AC later tractors for sale( post d-17 etc and "190"Etc series). I really like them such as the 7020, 7030, but i rarely see them for sale. Are they that nice that those whom own them wont part? Are they that scarce? Are you hogging them all in your shed? Seems its easier to find a Farmall SHTA with front assist.

Where do you live in the state? I am in SE Minnesota, and there are gobs of Allis tractors for sale. If your looking for overpriced ones, Marzolfs in Spring Valley got a few. They are out there, and even our old 7020 is too now. I guess Orange never turned my crank; we finally got our White- Those late models are RARE to find around here. Good Luck!

I've always had the impression that AC was a more popular tractor in light soil areas of the state. More affordable in areas where crops were more at risk, and the lighter tractors did well in their jobs. Seemed to be more dealers there too.

You just need to look in the right places. Go to Ironsearch dot com. The local Agco dealer has several 7000, 8000 and a 9000 series or 2.

They are good tractors, but finding dealers and people to work on them can be a challenge in some areas.

I guess you'll find them in areas where they were more widely used, like anything else. If the Deere guy's the closest dealer, gonna see Deeres, and so on.

This past winter I saw a 7030 for sale near Coal City, IL. It's gone now. Saw one last fall up by the the road on SR113 near my brother's house in Millersburg, IN. It was there a couple of weeks. There's a small place a couple of miles west of Plainfield, IL. on RT126 that has a handful of B's and C's. I don't know the name of it, can't stop with GPS on the work truck, but they're still there. A year or so ago was a 220 on Ebay from Arkansas that looked beat to snot, and the dealer that was auctioning it said didn't know much about it other than was used to run irrigation out in a field and had an electric fuel pump because couldn't figure out the mechanical one. It looked like an interesting project, but not that interesting.

I guess you'll pretty much figure out what an area's dealerships are or were by what's available.

They are out there, but not too many for sale and when they are, it is usually because the farmere is downsizing or upsizing or the tractor is a total wreck. I watched for almost a year to find an allis, looking for a 7000, 7010, or 7020 near home, and then one day, I was going through the photo ads and there was a 7000 black belly in OH for sale. About 120 miles away. It takes a while, but they pop up here and there. Now, a D21 on the other hand, that can be a real PIA to find for sale any more, and a D19 TD is getting to be the same way along with sereis 4 d17 diesels. They are not any more scarce than most tractors (there are a lot more Ms and Hs out there than allis). I think that they are just that nice that no one will part with them. I know I love my 7000 black belly and am not too interested in parting with it at the moment, but then again, I guess everything has a price tag on it. Good luck
