Hi Vet,

I got 40 to go, but it is still too wet to plow the good stuff. I'm plantin' this patch to oats this spring so want 'er right before I lift it.

In the meantime, gonna finish the second trip across the sod with the disc and get after that alfalfa.

Have never even laid eyes on a trip plow before. This area is an old ocean bottom; no rocks and topsoil for days on end. Some of it is turkey shut tho. :>(

You to dry to raise corn ??? that would be my choise in that sod that way you could get a good weed gras kill then fallow with barly like we do the seed in the alphia next spring . Back when i was peddelen seed corn i sold for Pfister 's and that 2350 i sware it was crossed with a cactus as it stood up to the dorught of 88 and 90 over here and did real well even on the top of the clay knobs . Now as for the rock ahhhhh ya never lived till ya hook one them suckers going up hill and ya stand the ft. up in the air to the point of looken down the exhaust pipe or haullen the mail and trip 4 bottoms all at once that will knock the hat off your head and stick the spinner in the belley botton. Now since you done have any of them ROCKS we should UPS ya some . Couple years ago one BIG one and i do mean BIG worked it's way up above the plow sole and we worked on that one for a couple hours tryen to get it out and moved it was all the skidsteer could do to just lift one corner so we could get a chain around it and it was all the 1066 with the duals on could do to pull it .

Very limited rainfall here. Only way you can grow cron is if you're irrigated.

Trouble is, the NRD has put a stop on any more irrigation wells in this area because of the dropping ground water levels.

So, on this farm anyway, I'm stuck with winter wheat, oats and a little hay. That's the end of the ball game fer me.

Oh, and don't mind the hecklin' bubble-gummer. 'Bout his bedtime anyway. :>)

I am sure his name is spelled Allan. I spelled it wrong for a long time too so don't feel to stupid. Actually there are more than half of all Americans (there is north and south) that don't know how to speak english. We are United States citizens though. The Citizenship actually allows us the freedom to speak or write as we chose. We, as citizens can't force another to read our writings. It is the individuals choice to do so. Or am I wrong? It also allows anyone to be a Donky rear and be as counter productive as they chose in their rants. What a wonderful country!
