I was wondering if the price of kerosene was higher or lower than the price of gas? Would it be worth using it in your tractors again?

Kero is lower in energy on a per/gallon basis, so you're not comparing apples to apples. For some time now, kero has been more expensive than diesel here.

At first of winter it was higher than gas. Probably will go up like all fuels are the next load of kerosene your supplier gets too. Most all kerosene now is the higher grade and supplier tells me it is really jet A fuel. Gas here was 2.71 last week and over weekend went to 2.79 and 2.89 and I suppose more everyday till Memorial day weekend and end of summer? Politicians all need a BIG swift KICK to the MOON !! That would be a nice addition for the new NASA project? lol.

Have you seen those pictures of the gasoline buyers at the major commodity markets? I have been thinking that if they were loaded up with vallium, or something similar, may be the prices wouldn't be quite so high.

Yesterday, when I filled up my truck with diesel, price of both diesel and kerosene was 2.799, regular gas was $2.86.

In Southern New England, Kerosene has been more expensive than premium gasoline, and often Diesel, for at least the last four years.

It's price doesn't change as often as gas & diesel -- usually trails in price increases, then trails in price decreases.

What really annoys me is it's not that much purer than Diesel...yet it's usually as or more expensive than Diesel that has forty odd cents of road tax included...

BTW...in my town today, couldn't get gas for under $3 for the first time in history. Filled up at $2.999 yesterday...cheapest station was $3.019 when I drove by this AM.

Here in Tx the price of Kerosene is higher than either Diesel or Gasoline. Of course the way prices are going who knows what things will look like this summer!
