I know I need to get the engine up to temp and retorque the head bolts how many times should I do this and how long should it take to get the rings seated in under a moderate load. Also how often should I change my oil and filter during the break in period . Just want it to be all it can be and not cut engine life short from getting in a hurry.Have 1100 dollars in the rebuild on the engine alone a it makes me a little nervous. River Bottom Farmer

I am sure you will get more than several different opinons on this. We used to run them a minimum of 1/2 hour to warm them up to retorque head and reset valve lash. Then we would put on dyno at about 1/4 load and work them up to at least 3/4 load in about a 2 hour period.
